About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
RoseWood Dressage is a brand new equestrian centre in Rockland, Ontario. Roughly 30 minutes east of Ottawa. RoseWood is owned and run by resident trainer and international dressage rider Amanda Dube.

Our aim is to provide the safest and most appealing facilities that we can, and use only the best products on all the horses.
Our hay is sourced locally and only the top quality is used, we use the medium flake wood shavings from Langebec Shavings and feed Buckeye grain.
We believe horses should be turned out everyday, all horses are turned out for a minimum of 6 hours a day, if the weather is not looking safe the horses are turned out in the arena or hand walked.

Our dressage training and lessons are provided by an Equestrian Canada Registered Coach and we can advise on all your enquiries such as training, fitness, sales etc.

TESTIMONIALS

"We are incredibly pleased with the work Amanda has done with Scarlet. She’s an incredibly kind, correct rider. Focuses and correct training and properly bringing up a horse in fitness and through the levels. Always considerate of the horse’s limitations never pushing or rushing."
-Barry Family

"Amanda is absolutely amazing with horses, she is so kind and Is always willing to help no matter what. The amount of times she has stayed extra late at the barn just to help me with my horse are countless. She’s an amazing trainer with the kindest heart."
-Sydney Landry

"Amanda is a very experienced rider/trainer. She always does what’s best for the horse. Amanda has an innate ability to know how to get the best out of every horse she rides. She is easy to work with and has a very calm demeanor."
-Mara Belitzky
"I have known Amanda for a number of years. My daughter and Amanda competed together in the schooling show series. Their horses could be twins and even competed successfully in the Rising Stars Pleasure Pairs class at the Ottawa Dressage Festival in 2018 & 2019. Over the years I have been able to watch her grow into the incredible horsewoman she is. She has the ability to ride difficult horses and make it look easy. She is not flustered by "silly" behaviour. She works with the horses and not against them. She takes the time to bring them through the levels of progression starting with relaxation. Once the horse is relaxed she then asks more of them. But never asking for anything too demanding that the horse cannot do. She takes her time and rewards the horses generously when they understand what has been asked of them. It is so refreshing to watch. Over the course of a few months I have watched her work with our horse and bring out his true potential. If you are looking for someone to work with you and horse I highly recommend Amanda. Not only can she read how a horse is going but she also understands how the riders biomechanics affects a horses way of going. Something that is not easy for all individuals to see and let alone teach."
